Why I Love Sausalito
I’ve always loved Sausalito for its unique mix of charm, beauty, and creativity. Hop on the ferry from San Francisco, and you're in this little gem across the bay. I love wandering through the town’s art galleries, like The Bay Model Visitor Center and Gallery Sausalito, where local artists showcase everything from contemporary paintings to handmade jewelry. It’s such an inspiring and creative vibe.

The town also has some of my favorite spots to grab a bite or enjoy a drink. I love the classic seafood at Scoma’s of Sausalito, the waterfront views at Le Garage, or a relaxed coffee at Cibo before a wedding ceremony.

What I love most is the way Sausalito feels both peaceful and alive at the same time. It’s perfect for couples who want a romantic, memorable celebration with charm, art, and a little bit of magic around every corner.

With historic and contemporary architecture, lush lawns, and elegant indoor spaces, it provides a versatile backdrop for weddings of all styles. The grounds act as a blank canvas. Couples can host a ceremony on the Mission Blue Lawn with the bridge in the background, then move to a refined reception in the Callippe Ballroom, all while the natural beauty of the location remains the main focal point. Built in 1918 and designed by architect Julia Morgan, the Arts & Crafts‑style clubhouse offers historic character, wood‑paneled interiors, red‑shingle exterior, and sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay.

What makes it special is the combination of dramatic natural surroundings (think rolling hills, coastal cliffs, sea views) and historic architecture (the main building is a restored military barracks from circa 1907).
